    Default Pinewood Derby Car

I am new to ShopBot and was hoping some one has a file I can download for a Pinewood Derby Car. I only have the software that came with the ShopBot, Partworks and Partworks 3D. Is it even possible to cut out a car with this software?

Ryan - I designed this car. I haven't tried cutting it out yet though, but plan to in the next couple of weeks. Let me know if you like it and I will send you an STL file

    Ryan,

All you need is a 3d model. There was one posted in , this thread. But there are tons of other car models on the web. Check the Resources page for links to 3d depositories.

Finding a sutable model to fit within the regulation block will probably be your biggest hurdle. You can always create, edit or "squash" a 3d model to fit.

Once you have that, use Partworks 3D to create toolpaths for it. The forums at Vectric will also help you understand the details of the Partworks program.

And don't forget about the New ShopBot Wiki. We'll looking forward to seeing your car there. :-)
