I design parts in solidworks and/or illustrator then import them into Aspire to define my tool paths. Then when I load the part file into my shop bot the horizontal orientation is always flipped.
As a work around I have been just flipping my part in Aspire then defining my toolpaths. But there has to be a simple solution to this. Any suggestions? |

not really. You will have to rotate one way or the other Unless you want to draw sideways.

I do know that using Solidworks w/Mastercam you need to choose the front plane, I believe, to draw on for it to be flipped right when it gets into MCAM. Haven't got the faintest about Illustrator.

Thanks. I will look into defining the planes this weekend when I am back in my shop.

it is just part of importing. I import a file I check the size I fix the offset as most have it and center it in the material. all it takes to rotate it is crtl +a to select all and hit 9 twice.
