The above link is to a dropbox folder that has a project that I’m finishing up this week. Showing several step by step photos at different stages of the project thumbnail attached.
White Oak base 27” x 24” x 1 1/8”
Inlay is Paudauk approx. 21” diameter
The letters and figures were v carved with 60 v bit cutter.
V carving painted with black gloss enamel
Finish is gloss lacquer
Looking for any feedback on how I approached this project to save time or make it easier, as this hobby of mine is getting closer to being a full time job, and that I do not mind.

Looking good there...

One idea I could suggest. would be,,
Avoid using dark red with blacks as a combination. There is not much contrast.
