    Default transfer pattern

I have a friend that drew a pattern to size on a large poster board paper and wants me to cut them out. My question is what would be the best or easiest way to get them traced/copied into aspire. Drawings are too big for any scanner.

He drew this with a sharpie otherwise I would use our probe. This is on flat paper.

Depending on how critical the pattern is you could take a pict of it (far away is best) and then trace from that.

Glue it to 1/8"/1/4" hard board and use the probe.

Do not rely on a smart phone for pics...the lens is too small and there will be a lot of distortion...you'll have to start all over again.

I've done it with a regular camera with good results before. Guess that depends on how accurate you need it to be!!

    Probe would be better.

Thanks Brady...that is what I was thinking I would have to do. I was hoping for a better way that was faster than making a template with wood.

    Good. Fast. Cheap. Pick two.

Hopefully you are charging for digitizing the panels as a separate line item than cutting.

What is the overall size of the panels/parts? How close to the original part(s) does the copies have to be?
