However if does come off as a bit tone deaf. I can't speak for what it's like to be a woman in woodworking/CNC, but if someone made a comment like that about me being a male I'd feel pretty unwelcome. Again, I'm sure you didn't mean it like that. Just trying to make the distinction between what you mean vs what was heard.

It's worth nothing that there are women doing some incredible things in CNC/Woodworking. A few that come to mind:

Thanks for taking the time to clarify. I didn't mean it to be derogatory. It was an observation from my limited knowledge based on who posts here. I have a daughter and two daughter-in-laws who are all successful in their chosen fields and I'm married to a retired teacher who taught third grade for 30 years. I have nothing but respect for women and know that they can do whatever they wish.

There are fields where women are under represented. NASCAR, INDY CAR and professional motorcycle racing are some that come to mind. It's not that a woman couldn't be successful in those fields, the facts are that there are very few even in the sport.
