Doggy Bungalow by Physical Design

Physical Design recently post the doggy bungalow files for their fabricator membership. I like to post some pictures of this project. This project was for me much easier and went smoother than the playhouse project. The experience I gain doing the playhouse help a lot. This project require seven sheets for the frame. I design and CNC cut the liner for doghouse and that required one sheet. I also design and CNC cut the sliding and that took one sheet of sliding. I got the measurements off the frame parts to layout the design of the liner and sliding files. It took 2 to 3 hours to cut and assembly the frame and one day to do the fascia, roof, trim, porch and the painting. Mark

Man, if that ain't just plain cool! How much do you have invested in this project? Looks like you went all out and did it up right. Good job.

When are you going to plexiglass the windows ? Looks great. A guy that biulds a dog house like that must stay in it alot . LOL

Jack, here a rough breakdown of materials and cost
8 sheet of OSB $40
1 sheet of sliding $20
2 1x4x8 for trim $6
3 drip edge $11
1 bungle of shingles $25
1 roll of flashing $21 - enough here to do two doghouses
2 tubes of adhesive $10

For everything else I use I already have, like
Wood composite decking for the porch
Plexiglas for the windows
Nails and screws

Gene, there is Plexiglas in the windows. Fortunately I am to big get inside and that is good. I place a half length thermrest mattress inside for the kids. Mine children like parking their bikes at the doghouse and go inside and acting like dogs. So far mine dogs show no interest. Go figure, doesn’t it. Mark
