Thumbs up Latest Carving in a slab

I must say thank you to Steve Glass for the slab. I received several of these slabs from Steve at last year's ShopBot Camp in Austin. Flattened the slab with a bottom cleaning bit. Made two bow-ties to stop the cracking of this piece. Laid out the file in Aspire 8.5 and made the cuts with .5 box core and finished with a .25 Ballnose. The finish is Sherwin Williams Chestnut stain and Spar-poly for the topcoat.

    Once again, thanks Steve.

    Terry…
Your link doesn’t work for me, I’d sure like to see what you did with the slab!

    Hi Steve,
Highlight the URL, right click and select "go to". It just worked for me. The photo was too large to attach to this site. If is does not work, just email me at tljrns at cableone dot net. I will then respond with the attachment.

That's flippin' awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I'm about to do several projects with split wood and bowties to be filled with different plastics and polymers for accents. Some looks just like opal, granite, copper, gold, silver, and turquoise. It's amazing.
