I have a customer who brought me this product signabond http://www.signamag.com/signabond.html I was hoping for some help on what cutter I should use and at what speed. I have a prt alpha with PC router.

Sure sounds like Dibond or Alucobond. This link may help you. The material cuts like butter with my PRT. Alucobond manual

Yes it seems to be the same. I have to cut a name and a logo thourgh it. I think I will need to use a 1/8" bit to get the detail he wants. The total thinkness of the signabond is about 3/16". What type of bit would you use and at what speed would cut at. I looked at the Alucobond manual and does to say to much on routing other than for bending using a 90 V-bit. Does the aluminum peel up when cutting. |

Cut this stuff all the time. I use a standard two flute spiral at 3.95mm
Feed rates are around 1700mm p/m for me. Find it cuts really well. I set the pierce rate for the Z axis quite low at around 200mm. |
