New forum looks nice!
Thanks for saving all the history - sure it was a lot of work, but all that info is well worth keeping!
Thanks!

A minor bug that I'm sure the Admin is in the process of correcting: The time stamp for my post says 4:09 pm and it was really 10:09 am. In the future I hope it will be corrected in case I need an alibi for my activities when Col. Mustard is found murdered in the billard room by someone using a candlestick. I hesitate in throwning away my movie ticket stubs for the same reason.

In the UserCP (User Control Panel), select Edit Options (half way down the left column), then select Date and Time Options (half way down the page) and set your local time zone.
ShopBot, you guys did a GREAT job on this new forum. So much more control of things. Makes it more personal :)
Thank you for all your efforts in keeping the kids happy!

If "Go Advanced" and click on the little paper clip (Attachment Manager), it will give you the rules for each file type.
Currently, jpg's are limited to 250K.

Would it be possible to move the archive post to the end of the more current?
Also when you have clicked on New Posts it should only show those post you have not read.
Thanks

Aww thanks Angus!
I even wrote a redirect script so all of the search engines links from the old forum will redirect to the appropriate thread/forum in the new forum.
You can test it by Googling:

I just got a private message through this board, and I treid to send an image in reply. When I went to insert the image I was told the board needed a "URL"to post it. Is there a way to get stored photos into a private message?

No, the private messaging does not support attachments.
However, you can send the user an email.

Admin,
I have another request. When you are looking at a long thread, it is nice if the menu bar in also at the bottom of the thread also. I mean the UserCP.......New Posts......Log Out. This way when you are at the end of the thread, you can click on New Posts and it will take you show you all the new posts that you have not read. It saves a lot of scrolling.
Thanks

It saves a lot of scrolling.
Try <ctrl><Home> to jump to the top (individual browsers may be different)

Don,
Go to "User CP" then "Edit Options". I think the last option is the time and you can set the time to any time zone.

Nils,
Keep on scrolling down..
If you're at the bottom,
To jump to another forum there is a Forum Jump menu.
To access the menu bar, click the link called "Top".

It looks like GMT is used until the user logs in. IMHO it would be less confusing if Durham time were used before and after one logs in..........

Ok, if I have to.
Is there any way I can change it round so that I see the latest message first - ie at the top of page 1?
Added:
OK, found the options page.
I have to log in first though.

RALPH At top left corner of main page of Forum under “Let’s Talk ShopBot”, click on user cp (control panel) and it will take you to all your private settings. Under “Settings & Options” click on “Edit Options”. The third box down is “Thread Display Options”. You can choose how many posts to show per page, and the order of list from: “Linear – Newest First” from the drop down menu. It’s great to see newest post first! Hope this helped.

I can login again! Love the noew forum. Crisp, clean and all of our data is here.
I do miss the count of user posts next the name though. This is post 1500 for me, a nice place to start on the new forum.
