Danny,

Click the UserCP link in the upper left corner, then click "Edit Avatar" under Settings and Options (the list to the left).

According to the current settings:
"Note: The maximum size of your avatar is 80 by 80 pixels or 19.5 KB "

Hey Harold,

If you click the "custom avatar" button right below that, you can upload an 80x80 pixel or less image from your computer or from a url

The custom avatar button is not available in my control panel. Perhaps the admin has that turned off until he's sure who is well behaved.

Ahhh...maybe that's one of the perks of being "Super Moderator"!

Under FAQ

What are avatars?
Avatars are small images that people use to identify or distinguish themselves to other forum members. In some cases the administrator will not allow avatars or only allow them for specific members. The administrator can also provide some stock avatars people can use, or they can allow members to upload their own custom avatars from their own computers. These avatars will be displayed as part of the user info in posts, as well as in the public profile.
For more information about avatars, please click here (http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/misc.php?do=showavatars).

Guess we're all part of the ShopBot's Beta test of Vbulletin.
