Thought I'd introduce myself to the group. A little about me.... I live in PA and make my living as a signmaker. I am 51 years old, and have enjoyed the sign business for 15 years.
I purchased my shopbot (5' x 8' s with a spindel head) in December of last year, and have finally decided to join the group here. How are things going so far, you ask?.....well, not great, but working things out as I find the time. Being a "one man show" makes it difficult, but I'm sure sooner or later things will smooth out.
Other than being a SB owner (yeah), I'm a pretty boring person, so not much else to tell. :) Look forward to sharing stories, projects and problems in the months to come.

Thank You. From what I've read, it seems like a wonderful & diverse group of professionals, hobbiest & craftsman on here.
Bob, I'm in the DuBois area.

John,
Welcome to the group!
It is a great bunch of people here. Lots of neat things people are doing. When you have questions about how to do something or a great idea to pass along this is the place.

Welcome John , I am a 1-man cabinet making shop and I can apppreaciate the challenges you may be facing of taking on a complex machine like this . We have all had many moments like I am sure you have already experienced but please don't be shy ask those 'dumb' questions . I have met some great people through this forum who have helped me and guided me out of some tricky situations and I am sure you will have the same experience we all do . Try to get to a Shopbot camp near you if you can . It will also open up some new learning opportunities .
Regards Bill

John, your website blew my socks off. Fantastic work!!!!
While looking thru your "wall" signs, I was saying to myself, " ahhhh, some great "ole school" stuff. Then looking through some of your designs, I was saying....hmmm this guy knows his way around computer (design) software also.
Then I noticed your tag line..... perfect! Sums it up pretty well.
Thanks again for all the warm welcomes & offers of help (I may be beyond hope though).
