can you use e chain without removing all the wires?

I would like to change over to e chain but I really don't want to have to redo the wiring. can you get the wire inside without feeding it through? or can it be strapped to the outside?

The "E" chain I have seen has ginged covers (sort of ) that allow you to lay the wires in without disconnecting.

cool that would make life easy. it was bad enough moving my machine 20 feet and worse hooking everything up the first time.

I just did this yesterday... with an e-chain ordered from Igus. It wasn't to difficult, but you need to think about the orientation of the wires going in and coning out. Since the e-chain wraps around the wires can get twisted. I'm finding this difficult to discribe in words...:rolleyes: I guess what I'm trying to say is: Just think about your approach to avoid having to redo the install.
