Not Bot related but I need to get a scouce on pneumatic cylinders and everything I find on the net seems useless.

Who do you call?

Not having an idea of their end use makes it hard.

But I saw these in their store a couple of weeks ago and they appeared well made. Of course, the price reflects this!

They are set up as clamps but looked like they could be adapted to other uses.

Tim

Also, have you tried MSC or Grainger?

I just need a single rod that has a 6 or 8 inch throw which is about 1.25 in diamater and will push 25 pounds , in and out. I need the valve/seleinoid (or whatever controls it) too. It will probably work off an air tank or small compressor so a max of 80 psi is needed. These should be 30 dollars or less at lower/meduim quality.

It's to strap to a tree and have a halloween goul, jump out at you, then reset for the next sucker... er, customer.

I was looking at these http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PARKER/menuitem.7100150cebe5bbc2d6806710237ad1ca/?vgnextoid=f5c9b5bbec622110VgnVCM10000032a71dacRCR D&vgnextfmt=default&vgnextdiv=687644&vgnextcatid=2809636&vgnextcat=ROUND+BODY&Wtky=

The P1 series but these people seem to make them and not sell them. So I need a company rep that I can actually TT.

Thanks

Try www.bimba.com (http://www.bimba.com)

These are all around pneumatic cylinders that I have used in my "real job" for years. You want to look at the "original line" series. Bimba is extremely reputable and has good prices.

I've been getting Servo magazine for a few years even though I don't know anything about watts and volts. Opened one of the mags to a random page and there was a formula for weight X length of lift (stroke)

Good to know that bimba works.

Thanks
