I have just realized how much static electricity can affect the shopbot. I thought I was having com wiring issues through the winter. Now we have had a couple weeks of rain and its like I have a different machine. Through the winter I could only surface my table at 4-5 IPS without losing steps. I have surfaced my table now a couple time running 8-9 IPS with my PRT 4g with no problem . I also would without fail gat at least 1 communication error shortly after start up. I haven't had any errors now for a couple weeks. I am not sure if better grounding would help in the winter.
Is this normal??

how low was the humidity? if you replace all the m commands with j commands you can surface at jog speeds since it takes so little effort.

Not even sure how low it was. We gat extremely dry on the canadian prairies in the winter. I suppose I should run a humidifier but never have.
As to the jog speeds in the winer I even have to slow them it seems.
