How do I turn this off?

I lost the display on the old machine, never could get it back. To access the options, when its visible, click on the RPM text on the display

Tried clicking all over the window, including on the RPM text, and the 'x' that should close it, no luck. Couldn't find any options on the menu bar for it either...

I've had similar problems. Check to see if the title bar at the top of the spindle control display says "(not responding)". If so (or even if not), try quitting the process using the task manager. You'll probably want to do this while your spindle isn't running. If that fails, I've been able to unfreeze the RPM program by first unplugging the USB cable running to the spindle. In some cases, I've had to reboot. In all cases, I've only had the RPM program lock up while the spindle was running; never when it was idle. I'm not sure if any of these tips will relate to your problem. If they do, take a look at this thread:
