what wire sets off the prox switch?

I had it fixed yesterday bot today no go. the switch lights up but does not work. does anyone know the wire color that I should check?

check the switch input to see if it has changed.

it was the wire. I think it is the black that triggers it. but I removed the splce I did and replaced most of the wire that goes to the prox switch and that took care of it. at least for one day. i think the wire was cracked from stress with the e chain.
