Hello everyone,

I am Adam from ATX Poly Products. I build Lexan parts for the HPI baja 5th scale buggy and truck. It is a gas powered remote control vehicle. For about 4 years I've been working on manual machines and out of housing some more complex parts. It is time to bring those parts back under my roof.

As of now I have a PRS 48-48 Standard in process at ShopBot. I look forward to getting to know you guys and becoming part of this Forum...

Adam

Welcome Adam-

I have a PRS alpha 4848.

At some point, I want to contact you and see what all you make. I sure do like that R/C and have almost purchased one several times. Maybe one day soon.

Anyway, welcome.

Adam,

Welcome to the forum. It is a great place to get all kinds of answers to all kinds of questions. Practice with the Search feature as this will point you to a wealth of knowledge that has accumulated over the years here.

I look forward to seeing some of the work you are doing. Sounds pretty neat. I build mostly static old-time sailing models. I do have a 36" RC sailboat that I love to play with.

Hi Adam,

Don't get your hopes up that you will be on the road to production this weekend. It takes awhile to get things setup and aligned. There will most likely be some issues you have to get flushed out and work your way through them.

Most Shopbotters I know end up getting their machines working properly in a couple of weeks. Some take longer because of problems they run in to. Just don't set your expectations too high right out of the crate.

Contrary to what the advertising says, you don't open the crate put the machine in position and start making money. It takes time and patience.

We will be here to help you! :)

Yea,

I have prepped myself for some speed bumps during the set-up and start-up. I'm sure I will be hitting you guys up for some help along the way...

Thanks!
