Russ Todd of Widget Works Unlimited is planning to attend the PA Camp, and he'll be bringing along some of his "goodies". The one which I think will attract the most attention is his latest setup; a "pressure foot" hold down system that acts as a localized (around the bit) way to keep VERY small, thin pieces in place for cutting. This system does not totally replace a "universal" vacuum, it actually enhances it's ability to keep these pieces in place. The system works SO well that Russ is able to cut material as thin as 1/32" with an UPCUT bit...
If you haven't yet contacted John, or myself about your plans to attend the Camp, please do so in the next few weeks...Thanks!

Kurt,
As most current Shopbotters will tell you, it's never too early to start the learning process.....The Camp will also let you meet others in the area who will be able to give you some advice/feedback once you DO become a Shopbotter...I'll add your name to the list today.

Hey John, sorry I won't be able to make this years meeting. I really enjoyed last years camp, but there is way to much family stuff going on and I can't get away. Have a great time.

Thanks to John Haggerty for being a great host as well as Bill for all the info. You have Ron and I ready to go forward. You guys really took all the mystery and confusion out of getting in the CNC trade/hobby. We were a bit intimidated of the learning curve, but now feel confident. We'll be seeing you guys again without a doubt. Thanks Again! Kurt Rose
