Background showing through

I am using Aspire and working on a scene with a water fall and an eagle. In the 3d view the water fall shows up in the eagle. What do I do to correct this?

You want to 'Merge' the components - Not 'Add'. When you choose Merge, it will make the highest relief protrude forward & the background will not show on the surface of the higher relief.

No problem. Keep in mind, you will most likely use Merge any time you have components overlapping where you want the background to gracefully blend into the forward relief. Of course, this is not the correct choice if you have let's say, a 1" background and a 3/4" front relief.
