At the moment the plan is to gather at our booth/tent Friday afternoon;http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11606
I think that since this is the first Maker Faire in this venue they are still finalizing details ( we can't tell people where the tent will be yet since we don't know...).
Because of this it's gonna be tricky to do what we have done in the past which was hold a Camp right on the grounds the Friday before the Faire begins.
We even tried to get a few of the local Shopbotters in Brooklyn, etc. to host something within a few miles of the museum but due to the obvious real estate prices in ALL of New York's boroughs most guys shops are so small that they can barely walk around their machines, never mind host a few dozen people.
SO stop on by late Friday for some refreshments on Shopbot. Pick up Faire tickets then as well. More details will follow as we get them. In fact today's version of the Shopbot newsletter ( which everyone should have received by now if Shopbot knows that you want to "subscribe" to it...) has this link to the Faire home page;
