Hello Shopbotters-

I just returned from another excursion to the Nevada desert where I took my Zome design pattern up a notch. This Art sructure, as last years, uses no metal fasteners of any kind. It relies entirely on a custom interlocking panel and connector system.

The large white Zome is 24' tall and 24' across at the equator. It required 45 sheets of plywood - a combination of 1" and 3/4". There are three doors and nine benches for people to sit on and look out the many elliptical portals.

Looks fantastic, Rob! Keep up the good work!

It almost looks like a fantasy scene with the background...

Thank you all. It was an immensely enjoyable experience through and through.

I especially enjoyed telling people that they were standing inside of a three dimensional shadow of a twelve dimensional cube.

The playa is a great testing ground for structure designs. The conditions are extremely harsh, so arid you can almost see the wood shrinking, the winds very, very strong...and not to mention the countless climbers and tuggers.

looks like a hangout for a bunch of hippies! Seems like someone said that to me about 40 years ago! That is a great design and cool concept. Kind of like Linkerlogs on STEROIDS. I'd like to see what the next design is going to look like. Good job!

Hey Rob. I went and hung out for a bit @ your new zome. Wonderful space.

I also drove by several times (was working on Megatropolis) and it always had people in it.

Nice work.

I have used your sketchup plugin and it works and I have built a 3 dome Gazibo for Gulf Interiors Exhibition in Bahrain. I modified your design and got into trouble so I added a center column for support.
