I want to cut corrugated board aka Cardboard, paperboard, and Packaging foams ( Polyurethane or polyethylene plastics). The Techno machine offers these tools for their CNC machine what about ShotBot? Very interested in ShopBot and their machines, I'm just wondering about these tool options!!

Thanks,

Bart

I've cut cardboard on my Bot many times and it works just great using the vacuum hold down and a down shear bit.

a bit will cut cardboard but if you need a clean edge you need a knife. I made one for my machine but the amount of offset makes it fun to setup and corners have to be done in separate toolpaths. plus no inside corners.

Beside doing Signage and woodworking related projects I am interested in using the machine to cut, crease or draw packaging related materials. You know making boxes or cutting foam to build protective barriers. I know of the software to design this stuff, but was wondering if there are was tools available to attach to a shopBot machine to facilitate these options.

Check out videos at this web address to give a better idea.
