Hi all. I am wondering if I can customize a window that pops up when I start a file. I have a PRS standard and have the router controlled by a relay and the controller. The prompt window that comes up reminds me to push start button (alpha) or if a standard to start router. I would like it to remind me to turn on dust collector. I have my dust collector remote controlled so I do not want it to be controlled by shopbot controller. Hope that makes sence. :)

Hi Glen,

One way is to edit your .sbc file and add this:


'Start the dust collector.... (Hit Any Key when Ready to Continue)
PAUSE

Be sure to add the apostrophe before the comment.


Of course this requires you edit each toolpath file - kind of a pain...
To have it automatically added, you would need to edit the post processor files you use. There is a good reference on this to be found here. (http://www.vectric.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6213)

My dust collector is remote, so I ordered another transmitter. I have the shopbot tagging the remote transmitter automatically.

I still have my other remotes in the shop and the bot turns the vac on and off with the files.
