Jimmy, I'm pretty sure that you can download the trial version of Rhino that doesn't have any limitations except for only letting you save 25 times. That should be enough to get your conversion done.

I'm exporting from Aspire as a STL when my customer try's to open it in Solidworks it say's it has to many surfaces. What can I do to fix this? I can bring the original file in Aspire which is an STL and do nothing to the file and then export it as a STL the file can not be opened in other programs. The original file opens in the other prorams, so my guess is Aspire is not exporting correctly I guess. The program the are tring to open it is is Solidworks.

Any Thoughts on This?

Jimmy, do open the stl file with Rhino then export it as an stl file. I have had similar issues to yours and solved it that way.

STL is not a great translation tool as it will typically pixelate the file into thousands of small surfaces. STEP is a better translation tool.....

I can import it into our solid modelling program but cannot do anything with it. I can't export it as STEP, SAT, IGES, STL, or anything else. I will show it to the guys I work with to see if they have any ideas. I will be back in touch tomorrow.
