Hello all!
I have had a 96" PRS Alpha with spindle for a couple of years , and it has been great !
I recently purchased a PRT96 with a 12" Z axis for a couple of special jobs,and as a backup.
We had funds budgeted for a new PRS Standard in a 96", but I found the one we bought at a good price , and that will leave my budget in a way to allow a new buddy or 4x4 Alpha with a 4th axis.
Why do I tell you all this ?

I have the machine in my shop and assembeld, squared, leveled etc.
I now need to load the Shop Bot software and drivers in the new laptop I will devote to this machine.
I have 3 floppy disks with different Shop Bot versions on them , but no reader for floppys.
I am fairly computer saavy , but this is a gray area for me .
Anyone know where I can download the software and drivers I need , and also if Shop Bot files created with Aspire will work out on such a machine?

Thanks

http://www.shopbottools.com/mSupport/controlsoftware.htm

If you have a 4G board in the PRT you can use latest control software, otherwise look farther down the page for the 3G prt software.

Yes, Vectric software will work for the PRT whether 3G or 4G. Depending on PRt setup, you may want to use a different post processor.
