Okay so today I broke down and purchased the Auto tool changer for a present for me on Thanksgiving. Chris at Shopbot said there was documentation on this site in regards to installation under "tool changer docs". I was told it would explain how to install and the idea of zeroing the different cutters. For the life of me I can't find it! Anyone out there help me?

daryl,
I just looked and couldn't find it either. Chances are it is right in front of us. I would next time ask them to simply email you the link to it because it is too easy for others to say " its on the site" then not give you a clue once you get there to find it.
They are usually way too good to us and sometimes we still can't "get it".
Here is one link:
http://www.shopbottools.com/mProducts/Automatic%20Tool%20Changer.htm
but no documentation

Nancy, thank you for the reply. I must be missing something on your ShopBot site. I have yet to find the link that would have lead me to the documentation that you sent me to. Can you please clarify how I would have gotton to it by way of the site? No need to answer on a holiday but have a good Thanksgiving and thank you for the help!

When I called about tool changer docs they had me go to the documentation section and search for atc. It brought up the atc installation manual.
If you have any problems with the atc, let me know I think I did about everything wrong that can be done but I learned a lot about the atc.

if you notice the documentation came from:
http://www.shopbotdocs.com/ not http://www.shopbottools.com
So unless you find some obscure link to this whole different site on shopbottools.com you would be just banging your head on the wall. I'm sure they have a good reason to keep the documentation seperate. Did you get written documentation with the unit? If so I bet there is reference to the doc site somewhere in there unless you are like me and go by the motto:
"Instructions....we don't need no stinking instructions!"
edit
Even a google search for shopbot documentation didn't pull up any links for shopbotdocs.com in at least as far as i looked (first 5 pages) so don't feel bad.

Hey Daryl,
As you've probably figured out we're in the process of moving all the documentation online to a wiki at www.shopbotdocs.com (http://www.shopbotdocs.com), which has a couple of advantages for keeping documents up to date. It will also allow us to add special features like embedded video to documentation, and we can now print manuals when a tool is shipped so that they are as up-to-date as possible and contain only the info that you need for the tool that you ordered. There was a little bit of information introducing it in an earlier posting http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showpost.php?p=99866
There's a link near the top of the support page that points people to shopbotdocs for tool assembly instructions, but to answer your question about how you would have known to look there for the latest toolchanger docs, the short answer is that currently someone at ShopBot would have had to point you to the accessories section of ShopBot docs. Links on the website will be updated as sections come online but will always lag a little, but in general if you're looking for the best information on current tools, www.shopbotdocs.com is the place to look.
Hope this helps and sorry for the confusion.

Bill, Thank you for the update! It really wasn't a problem. I am just a curious person and was inquiring how I could have found the docs. As a person gets older they have a tendency to wonder what that were doing wrong. I was beginning to wonder if I was losing my marbles! Thanks for the effort you and numerous people put forth on this website. It is appreciated by a lot of people!!! Thanks again!
