That is an interesting idea.. better than a laser cutter, as more power is available from the sun. Would cut steel with enough area for gathering sunlight and concentrated enough.

Would be tough bidding jobs tho.. weather delays would take on a whole new meaning.

Thanks for the link! I like innovation, even when its not optimal, or an improvement on existing methods.
