A few months ago I made a pair of matching credence tables for a church in Maryland. The tables are identical, and have carved aprons on all four sides.

The tables were made from quartersawn white oak

The curved molding was modeled in Aspire and machined with 3D offset tool paths. The remaining relief was machined as a pocket, and the cross was cut using a prisim/vcarve tool path, due to the time constraints from machining 8 aprons. The crosses were further refined with sanding, and a little hand carving.

I also used the bot to cut the mortises in the legs, and breadboard ends.

They are simple and understated and look great. Quartersawn oak has a beauty about it that you can't get out of anything else. You brought the beauty out with that nice finish. Good job!
