Typesetter tool speed

I have V-Carve pro and can do what I want to do in that software but just for comparation, yesterday I was playing around with the Typesetter tool within ShopBot 3. I actually found it to work fairly well for simple line text but one issue I found was I couldnt get the cut speed to slow down. I would have assumed it would look at whatever cut speed I had set on the control page. I set that speed to very slow (1 IPM) but it acts like its still looking at something MUCH faster. Is there another place to set this speed within Typesetter?
