All:

For some personal exercise, much needed with the many hours I spend at the desk, I bought a bicycle a few weeks ago. Also, having donated myself for some years to the local MS 150 mile bike ride, I thought I would have a go at it. After a couple of weeks of riding for the first time in something like 45 years I realized there was no way I would be in shape to make that ride in one month! I did, however, volunteer to be part of the support group helping participants who fall by the wayside on their way to the goal. Also, I have set up a donation page on the site.

The cause for a cure to MS has been elusive for a long time and there are very few of us who do not know someone with this crippling disease. It is a terrible thing to watch and of course, even worse to experience.

With your permission, I would like to ask you guys to chip in to this effort by clicking on the link below and making a donation to this very worthy cause. Besides my own donation of time and money to this I have made another pledge should my modest goal be reached: The moment I reach my goal I have made the decision to give up a nasty habit that has been near and dear to me for a very long time. Those of you who know me well know what it is. Some can guess. This makes your donation helpful both to me personally as well as the thousands who suffer every day.

The amount you give is not important. Giving with your heart is.

Thanks in advance to all who help.

Maybe if you give up that bad habit it will be easier for you make the ride next year? I'll chip in for that.

Good luck on reaching your goal, and kudos for helping with such an important cause.

We follow this group rather closely. About 700,000 Autistic children since 1990. Up by a factor of 100x since 1990...

As with many things, listen carefully to the mothers who know their children.

Autism has a 4 to 1 boy / girl ratio. ADHD also has the same 4 to 1 boy / girl ratio... about 6 million children in that group.

All:

Check out the donation site. I am now over half way there but there are only a few weeks left till the ride. I would like to thank all those who have seen it within themselves to post their donations and ask everyone else to please put in a donation to this worthy cause.

Just 2 days ago the Scripps research center, which receives funds from the MS Society announced they have found a drug which reverses MS in its tracks in mice. But as important as animal research is, it is still years from being tested on humans and very well may not have the same affect. Every little bit can help.

Thanks;

Dave
