I cut this cedar capital this past weekend , on my newly assembled Rikon lathe / indexer , Its 6" square & 5" tall , rough cut 3/8" end mill about 45 min , finish pass 1Hr. 55 min Taper 1/8" ball nose , I used Artcam for the unwrapping & toolpaths

Excellent Bob! It looks like that Rikon is working good for you.

Did you make the 3D model yourself with Artcam or did you purchase?

Exelent work bob..I really love to watch such neat stuff especially Rotary stuff.. you can write a tutorial for rest of us about unwrapping and making rotary toolpaths...

WOW! That is great! I have avoided getting an indexer, but things like this really make me want to go for it! Nice job!

How much time do you think you'll put into sanding to finish this one out? Any major changes you think are warranted? How do you rate your experience on this?

Thanks all for all the kind complements. I did this indexer turning to test the Rikon lathe / indexer , which I'm very happy with the results.

Monty There is about an hour of sanding , I would change how I machine the 4 corners to get more detail
