MARQUETTE – Gary Glen Campbell, Jr., 28, of 1501 Altamont Street, Marquette, entered eternal life Saturday morning, June 25, 2011, at his home, in the loving, comforting care of his family.
Born August 26, 1982 in Port Charlotte, Florida, a son of Gary G. Campbell and Mary Patricia Ellingsen , Gary was raised in Marquette and was a 2000 graduate of Marquette Senior High School. He was employed as a cabinet maker in Islamorada, Florida, where he was a partner with his father, Gary, in Islamorada Woodworks. An avid outdoorsman, Gary enjoyed the sports of hunting, fishing, playing baseball and softball. His fishing skills helped him establish several fishing records in the Florida Keys.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a memorial visitation at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm with Gary’s aunt, Sr. Mary K. Flanigan presiding.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make an appropriate donation in Gary's name to your local Cancer Society or Hospice Caregiver.
