Well I needed to cut a proof of artwork for an MG logo I had been working on so I laid out this simple 8"by18" sign blank and cut it into a piece of 1/2" plywood I had about the shop. The logo's turned out good so I figured I would add some "ink" for color and turned to my collection of "Sharpie" brand permanent ink markers to add a little highlighting. It'll just end up on the wall in the garage somewhere to further proclaim my love of british cars and MGB's in particular, so there was no need for fancy paintwork. Using sharpie's for signs is a lot of fun. Just like coloring as a kid! Try it out for a laugh. Sharpies come in a number of primary colors and it wicks nicely into untreated wood. In this case the lettering/logos are left as "islands" in the sign. The pocketing is done 0.2" deep so there is a good depth to it!

Nicely done Gerald. That is VERY attractive work. That's exactly the kind of thing I want to get good at doing! Do another and post it up here for us to ogle!
