Anyone using CV solid on shopbot? I currently own latest version of CV solid drafter and have had some training on it as well. I am seriously looking at PRSalpha machine. Any advice or comments are appreciated!

Michael...
David Buchsbaum is this forums most prolific CV user. He is out of the country, but he may see this and chime in. If your question will be if and how well CV output to the ShopBot is, then I would have to say pretty good. Most high end software packages post well to a ShopBot. There are always a few tweaks that make them even better, and I know David has written a number of them.

Hi Michael,
I'm back in town and do indeed use the ShopBot and CV daily. I'm happy to answer any questions I can. With CV Drafter you will only be able to create designs and drawings, with limited reports and cutlists. To get the S2M Center (S2M = Screen to Machine - that is, nesting and sbp files to run on the ShopBot) you will have to upgrade to the Advanced or Ultimate level. The more fluent you are with the design aspect the easier it will be to transition to machining.
Good luck - we are here to help.

Hi David,
I will inquire regarding the upgrade, as I believe it is a robust software package and since I already have the entry level module and the training, I think it is the way to go.
Please put me on your mailing list for any upcoming training classes you may have.
Thanks,
Michael
