I ran across this. I have no idea what they were trying to do with this. You'll notice the video is sped up so the motion on the table must be awful slow but i can't figure out what they were trying to accomplish?

Probably some students in a lab testing a setup to fill a rack of test tubes or something similar.

I thought perhaps injecting a resin into sand as a form of 3D printing?

If you watch all 3 of there video's, it points to sand dune solidification to stablize movement, also a wind video referenced to sand movement.
