I am having a issue with my PC not seeing the shopbot. It is a PRS Standard with
a 2.2 hsd spindle. I ran it two days ago with no issues and have have no comm
issues from a long time now. Anytime I am not running it and not in the shop I
turn off the the main feed into the shop also. Tonight I powered up to run a cut
on some parts and I have nothing when it tries to find the bot. When I open
windows device manager it is seeing the shopbot RPM spindle control but not the
control box. I have a USB hub in-line and took it out of the cable and that
changed nothing also. When I have the incoming power off to the bot the 5V led
inside the control box is lit as it should be also. Any help would be Greatly
helpful as I have a lot of parts to run for a Disney job in California and hope
to do them this weekend...

Thank You!

If external hub is self powered check power. Mine has a light on it. Have you tried reinstalling drivers? I can't remember how the comm card is on shopbot controller but I think mine is vertical from the main controller card....is it loose??? Give support a call and leave message. They check messages on weekends. Second to none for support.
Is the control box powering up? Not sure what year your machine is...mine has geckos and I can see the light on them when powered. Is the controller fan running. Just wondering if no power is issue of if you have a comm failure.

Yes, I took the in-line hub out of picture and also reinstalled drivers on my PC... I left a message with SB and sent a e-mail too...

The controller card is in behind the big card like you say.. I checked the usb cable and tried a differant one also...

I see a little round white button on the control card. What does it do?

I also checked the dcv outputs on the three powersupplys too. 5vdc-24vdc-63vdc.. All checks out.

Check the ground also. That was my problem. It needs a really good ground.

Thank you Frank for calling me so soon on a weekend and helping out!!
