Shopbot desktop questions

Hi everyone, i am about to make my final decision and purchase the shopbot desktop. However, i really cannot find much info/reviews/video of the desktop model. Any desktop owner here can share their experiences? pros and cons? any regrets not getting the buddy instead? The only down side i can see is the shallow z axis, anything else i should know?

thank you in advance! i live in hong kong, and don't know anyone here has it so it's impossible for me to try it out before buying.

Hi Michael,

I will be using it to make artwork ( relief carving, 3d carving), wood toys, boxes, etc., and perhaps some product prototyping. I already own a lasercutter, my purpose of getting a cnc router is to create woodwork that's more 3 dimensional, and for the fact that cnc router cuts cleaner and deeper than my laser.
