If can't find one to buy I will have to design one on the bot. Most of you old timers will know what i am describing.

I am having surgery soon on my good arm so i need to drive with my weaker right arm.
Think back to when you were in your daddys buick as a kid and this "knob" device was attached to the steering wheel and usually was made of plastic or glass and usually had a picture of a pin-up model inside. You grabbed the knob to help turn the wheel with one hand. It spun independantly on a shaft or bolt.

If you know what that was called please let me know. If you know where to get one, even better! If you know where i might get the connector, i could make a nice "knob" design on my indexer.:D

you mean a suicide knob. Check with places that sell fork lifts

X2

I got one for the Deere @ Lowes. TractorSupply might also carry them. Note that there is a big difference in quality in terms of mounting & bearings between the ones meant for tractors and ones meant for cars. The ones for cars are more expensive.

On cars they always called it a "Granny Knob".

In my case THAT would seem appropriate:p

If they are illegal in your area I beleive with a Doctors letter of necessity you can have one. I have one on the boat. I see them at West Marine. Not sure if they are in your area. But any boat dealer would probably have them. Good luck with the arm.

Jack,

I know a lot of states outlawed them years back. My grandpa lost a hand to a punch press and had a permit to use one. (Grandpa had a hook and could clean bullheads faster than anyone else in the family - cuz he never had to worry about cutting himself...)
