I just finished upgrading my older prt with the 3.6 motors, new rack and 25 teeth gear. Been talking with Chris at SB and he felt I would get more bang for the buck this way than with the 4g upgrade, since I have direct drive motors. Turn it on and boy does it run sweet. Now the problem. when I try and move my jog speeds past 4 ips and hit the arrow on the computer it just takes off, no stopping by the spacae bar or arrow. It literally takes me to pull the plug on the power to make it stop. I tried it again to make sure and it did the same thing. I no longer have prox switches. on the x rails the light doesn't even come on, on the y the light comes on but doesn't stop it. I thought I read about this on the board but after searching through 25 pages I can't seem to find it. I'm thinking about removing the shopbot control software from my computer (I'm using the software for the older prt) and reloading it. What version of software should I load? Plus any other info would be great.

Thanks
Bob

Found the problem. If you put the decimal point in the wrong place in the unit values it causes all the deamons to come out :)

You know it would be really cool if they made regular dots and seniors dots! :) You know really big ones! :) And if you really get fumble fingered a minus sign in front of that disapearing dot really gets very LOUD! :D Russ

let me say that instead of a 1533.346 unit value, try running it at 15333.46. You want to hear noise. I thought for sure I just blew a $2000 investment
