Hello,

I have two projects that I need a CNC to machine for me.

1 - Using a Faro laser scanner, I will scan a semi-flat object, think slightly undulating (about 120"x192" or 10'x16') and capture that shape data in one of the following languages: AMPCapture, Polyworks, Geomagic or Rapidform (per Faro). I want to use one of your machines to machine that 3D scanned shape on a couple of 1" thick sheets of plastic or wood (exact type TBD) that are 8'x10' each or 4'x10'. The finished surface will need to be rather smooth. Not new car body smooth. www.Faro.com

2 - I need to make some rather cylindrically shaped molds out of aluminum or wood. About Ø8" and up to 48" long. Simliar but simplier than the attached drawing (vase.jpg) I borrowed from Faro. Think cylindrical coffee table lamp base. The mold will need to be about as strong as aluminum I believe though wood might work as a prototype. I know some plastics such as Fortron are quite strong but I think aluminum or wood may be cheaper and easier to repair and build etc.

Sincerely,
