Software $ question

I'm curious, if Partworks is the same as Vcarve pro, then why then does it cost more than Vcarve pro? To upgrade from Partwizard to Partworks is listed on the Shopbot website at $745 but I can buy Vcarve pro for $599. Am I missing something?

Both Partworks and Partworks 3D are included for that price. That would be equivalent to the VCP and Cut3D combo on the Vectric website for $849.

The only logical explanation would simply be, they're giving a discount on the package for shopbot owners with the old partwizard sofware. Personally i'd rather have vectric's software itself. It can be used on other machines.

Partworks only includes post processors for Shopbot. However if you upgrade to Aspire you get the full retail copy with all the posts.
