Just downloaded newest Shopbot software and couldn't find type setter in the tools list. I don't have Partworks - so don't send me there, and I looked in Labs with no luck.... Thanks

I think Bill Young is the author of most of these addons and i don't recall if the typesetter was a small addon or run within the control software. Maybe a email to him would get you the help you need.
In the absence of getting another better answer you may have to go back to a previous version. I believe that even Part Wizard had a typesetter function. Did you not even get Part Wizard (not PartWorks) with your bot?

If you go to the C:\Program Files\ShopBot\Virtual Tools folder, it should be there. It's not in the list in the .ini file, but you could add it to the list in the same manner as the others with notepad or SBedit.
The reason it's not in the list, may be that a file is missing or invalid. This is with Win 7 though and this computer has never had an older version of SB3 on it, so it may work for you. Just double click on the Typesetter.exe.

When we changed from the VRML previewer to the new Vectric-powered one we stopped installing the Cortona 3d viewer that we were using. We removed the 3d interface from most of the Virtual Tools, but Typesetter wasn't one of them because PartWorks does a much better job. It's still included in the Virtual Tools folder, though.
As Scott says if you had an older version of the control software installed you might still have the Cortona files, but if you get that error message you can install the free Cortona 3d viewer from their website.

Thanks Bill and the other folk that made suggestions.
Installing Cortona saved the day and made the typesetter.exe found in the Windows->Program Files->Shopbot->Virtual Tools folder work.
I'm trying to make signs using international characters and wondered if there is a way to insert unicode characters in the text field of Typesetter? If not can this be done in another program?
