So far these speakers are jamb up, if you don't learn something you must be asleep.

And heck, I could speak too! However, only soft fruit and veggies may be thrown and no more than 4 at the time. I'm not to be held responsible if anyone gets hurt when they hit the floor after falling asleep.

Available topics include:
Vac Clamping Yourself to Your Bot for Profit and Fun
Aspire - If I Can Do It You Can
Cure Aspire Addiction, But Why?
Why Do It in 4 Steps and 10 Minutes When 93 Steps and 3 Hours is More Fun!

But seriously, I'm looking forward to it.

i call it a camp, i have called it a gathering, yet for those who have been here before it is a training session and an oppoprtunity to meet face to face outside of a trade show with the fellows from vectric and multiple users of aspire as well as different cnc machines, the shopbot community has always been well represented! two days of presentation and discussion on matters of cnc and vectric software! along with a good southern BBQ lunch on saturday,

WOW, hanks to all who registered yesterday,, kinda funny how active the fax was, when you think about it it is almost antiquated technology!!

James Booth has asked for subjects of interest so post em!! Ryan Patterson has done some incredible gadgets for aspire and i think we have just seen the begginning of this!

i will email confirmations each week

i belive Kieth outten will give us an update presentation on one of the mornings!! i got to visit one of the cnc printer operations, there is a lot of new technology still growing, i will also show some panel textures that have turned into income

I probably won't be able to get down there. It is a long way. Is there any way for us up north to get any kind of recording or digital photos or ect. Sounds like a great conclave.

to provide video feeds and audio would be an expense and effort that will take away from the gathering and exchanging of information, all who participate are voluntary and do so at thier own expense, the 45.00 cost covers renting a screen, a projector, a projector, tables chairs an excellent BBQ lunch, coffe drinks and donuts throught out the gathering. in the three i have held i have always come out of pocket to hold them yet i look at it as an investment in us. it is worth it !!

this year i have added some topics on motion controllers and thier relation ship to aspire, i have asked someone to speak on shopbot and am hoping this will happen.. i always video these events and maybe this year we will edit it a bit, yet if all we had to do was gather the speakers look into a camera and feed it to ones garage or shop then it probably would not happen.. these events strengthen our friendships and community and i look forward to meeting all personally. we are about 60% registered so we have crossed the fun mark and all the cast of this is attending !!

Hi Kent,

That was one of the "major" questions at the camp!..."Who made the fish?"

That project was done by Bill White. It was a real show-stopper and everyone appreciated Bill's talent and excellent workmanship.

He sandblasted the fish on the back of a thick piece of glass (he mentioned the sandblast masking was laser cut), then chipped the edges using pliers and "frosted" the chipped edge perimeter to blunt the sharpies and give the nice effect. The coloring on the fish was carefully applied via an airbrush using translucent "candy apple"-type paints. The wooden base and groove that the glass panel sits in was the part done on his CNC machine.
