Form Tools Help

I'm trying to design a form tool that let's me undercut a profile. Specifically, an edge fluting bit. But, when I create a vector that includes a span that angles or arcs back to the center, it's not accepted as a suitable shape. Help anyone?

I'm presuming you're doing this in Partworks/VCarve or Aspire.

You can't create a form tool that has an undercut. The software doesn't allow it.

However, if you design it without the undercuts, it will work - you just won't see the undercuts in the 3d preview. Basically just lie to the software about the shape.

If you post the vectors for your tool, we can give you a better idea.
