Hi people. I've had my bot for a year now and it's been slow going for me. I have a hard time getting shop time with a full time job and family responsibility's so lessons learned in the Artcam software are sometime forgotten between the long layoffs. It's certainly isn't like riding a bike. Hopefully Quality time with my bot will become more frequent soon when things slow down a bit at work during the winter months. Anyhow I could use some help with a project I'm trying to knock out for the wife. I'm trying to do a mantel for a fireplace I recently installed in the family room using a repeating grapevine pattern. I can't seem to toolpath the 8' section of molding to cut the whole length. Instead it wants to cut each 12" section separately. I know this is elementary to 99% of you, but after a few hours messing with it last night and searching the forums this beautiful Christmas morning I'm at wits end. Anyone willing to help a year old newbie out? Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas .

Hi Kurt,

I'm not sure about ArtCam, but with Aspire, you would take those 12" sections and bake them into one (do any needed sculpting where they merge). Then possibly use a defined boundry vector around them and then toolpath it.

It sounds quite similar to what I did for this oak leaf/acorn one.

I'm sure someone more proficient with ArtCam will pop in here and help out.
