File Type?

Just got a call from an architect about some model pieces that he wants. What file type should he send? This is a 3d model and the dxfs he sent don't read in Aspire or Vectorworks for that matter.

STL (Stereolithography Mesh) binary or ASCII is fine. Binary is a little smaller. This is readily importable by any decent 3D CAD or CAM program.
