Cutting Cork

I need to cut some 1 and thicker cork boards.
Does anyone have any advice?

I've never cut cork but my first thought is that if you were to cut a shape with an end mill the edges would likely tear up. I'm thinking it would be good to sandwich the cork between two sheets of 1/4" plywood.

Cork cuts very easily. I use a Onsrud 65-025 and cut it with clamps.
