I am tring to get my indexer running after moving it & along time sence trying it ..In all my indexer programs the first line is VD, ,5 I cannot remember why I used it r what it is for ,,,also when using pos numbers is the chuck suppost to turn clockwise r cc when looking @ it from the face of the chuck??Thanks Bryan

VD is for display values. I don't think this is part of an actual command line you would use for movement.
This is for setting number of axis', degree/inch/millimeter ect.
Tell me what you are trying to do and maybe someone can guide you thru it.

When I enter positive numbers, the indexer rotates in this direction...

...and negative numbers turn the indexer this way...

Jack' just do a regular turn a blank, my programs all had vd, ,5 on the first line, so I guess they need it for every index program,,,,,,
John that is what was needing to know on the chuck direction ,,,cool indexer head modeling ,,thanks very much Bryan

They were drawn using VectorWorks. I'm using them as part of a 'How-to' text that I'm writing for my students and figured that since I had 'em already, they would provide the clearest answer for Bryan.
