Hey everybody,
Took alot of your suggestions for getting rid of comm returns and seems to going good so far. 2 prong plug grounded to shopbot control, shorter usb, black viper...
But had another issue come up, again..
Our first computer didn't have usb 2.0 so we bought a card for it and it seemed to work fine. But the IOGEAR Hub that came with the shopbot died in about a day. It lights up but doesn't recognize anything. So shopbot sent us a new one and its been working fine for about 2 months, until last friday, I tried opening the control software and couldn't find the shopbot, I plugged it in directly and it found it fine. I tested it several times and the hub never was recognized. I tried plugging a flash drive into it as well and no go...
On our old computer the hub made it so the shopbot would be recognized under the enhanced>usb hub and boosting our speed test from 69- 72
On our new computer the shopbot already shows up under the enhanced>usb hub, the iogear hub just added some redundancy and didn't boost our speed test at all...enhanced>usb hub>usb hub>shopbot, were at 77%
are we safe without a hub? is this possibly a sign of problem on our end or just the hubs themselves?
Thanks,
