View Full Version : Monitor shuts off during long run...

My monitor shuts down some while after I have started a long run. Usually, I can wriggle the mouse on it's pad and the monitor comes right back on. This has never caused a problem, and I just lived with it. The other day, I switched over to a wireless mouse and keyboard and all seemed well. Today, my keyboard didn't seem to work, (Batteries dead?) so I just used the mouse and the control panel on the screen, again, all went well. I am running a long carving program right now and everything is going fine, but my monitor shut off and wriggling the mouse will not turn it back on. I have tried turing off the power to the monitor and back on. It lights up, but then immediately says "no signal" and goes into sleep mode. I know most of you don't like wireless mice/keyboards with the 'Bot, but I thought I would try it. (I am working in my garage and have to assemble-unassemble the set-up each time I use it, so this was convenient.) I have tried to search the internet for some help but with no luck. Any help you-all can give would be appreciated, and again, please talk to me like I am 4 years old, computers are not my strong suit...joe p.s. I disabled the Screen Saver a long time ago..

The screen going off will be the power saving mode kicking in. The same thing is probably affecting the wireless setup as well. I know the one I used to use turned itself off after 30 minutes.

Look in the Windows control panel under Power Options and see what the settings are for display turn off etc.

It can also be set under the screen saver options of Windows as well.
